COLLEGE COUNSELING
College Counseling and Career Counseling are provided both individually and through group transitional activities. Transition Tuesdays are an important component of the Village Glen curriculum, offering the students access to valuable transition information as well as providing regular intervals for the students to update their Transition Portfolios. Systematic meetings are held between the College Counselor and both students and parents to discuss post-graduation plans. Representatives from both local and national colleges and universities come together for the Village Glen College Fair each year giving the students an opportunity to explore post-graduation options with peers, mentors and parents.

I have been a College Counselor at Village Glen West in Culver City for a little over two years. I have six years of school counseling experience at various high schools and middle schools in the Los Angeles area. My time at Village Glen West has been a rewarding and enlightening experience. I feel that I am a vessel- a vessel that connects our students and their families to diverse post-secondary options and journeys with one talk, one presentation; multiple encounters.
Under my College Counseling sphere, expect your students to participate in College Tours, College Fairs, classroom guidance lessons that tackle various post-secondary themes, individual college planning and so much more.
