Parent Association Fundraising

The Village Glen Parent Associations and Parent Support Groups offer ways for parents to not only to enrich the lives of their children, but also ways to strengthen connections with one another and the schools.

The Parent Association is actively involved in various fundraisers throughout the year which raise money in the following four areas:  (a) the Library; (b) computers and software; (c) the Arts (d) enrichment and staff support.  Parents are encouraged to volunteer their time by working in the parent run School Library, serving as a Room Parent and/or helping out at various times throughout the year on one or more of the committees formed to support the School.

A support group for parents or caregivers of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder also meets monthly.  In this way, parents can share information with one another and receive emotional support from others who know what it’s like to walk in their shoes.

A number of parent education events are also held throughout the year.  These special evenings will focus on topics which will have particular relevance to our families.
